Bothnia Rhythm Orchestra and Ulvens Döttrar Join Forces On Scandinavian Tour

Bothnia Rhythm Orchestra, BRO, presents a set of new and old but nevertheless all custom arranged material for BRO and the Åland Islands based Scandinavian ethnic vocal group Ulvens Döttrar (The Daughters of the Wolf) at Bio Savoy in Mariehamn on July 4th at 7 pm.

BRO and Ulvens Döttrar offer a set of new orchestral arrangements of Ulvens Döttrar's old repertory as well as brand new music freshly composed for this group. All other music written by Ella Grüssner Cromwell-Morgan, orchestrated by Hans Hjortek and Ralf Nyqvist. Hans Hjortek acts as the music director and conductor.

The nominees of the prestigious Nordic Council Prize, Ulvens döttrar continue their musical peregrinations through folk-tales from Åland ["Awe-land"] Islands with their original compositions. The three sisters have performed together since childhood with their exotic Nordic vocal sound self-accompanied by flutes, fiddle and drums. The trio received wide media acclaim as the finalists in the Tampere Vocal Music Festival in 2003, and has performed regularly since in Scandinavia and Germany.
